Turning Simple Ingredients into a Meaningful Livelihood

The Women Back to Career Programme by Beyond4 Knowledge, funded by Hong Leong Foundation, is an empowerment and workforce reintegration initiative that supports women returning to work or entrepreneurship after a career break. The programme equips participants with confidence, skills, and practical tools to re-enter today’s evolving economy, while addressing common barriers such as caregiving responsibilities and extended employment gaps.

One of the beneficiaries is Khoirotulaniyati Binti Abdul Rahman, fondly known as Cikgu Aini, a dedicated Dyslexia teacher and founder of Kerepek Tempe Cikgu Aini. Through the programme, she has developed and grown a home-based microenterprise producing crispy, flavourful tempe chips, managed together with her husband from sourcing soybeans to production and packaging to ensure consistent quality and freshness.

Her journey reflects resilience and purpose, balancing her role as an educator with entrepreneurship, while building a sustainable family-run business. It highlights how targeted support can unlock income opportunities and strengthen community-based enterprise.

For enquiries, support her business, or collaboration opportunities particularly for corporate gifting, please connect with Khoirotulaniyati Binti Abdul Rahman and follow updates from Kerepek Tempe Cikgu Aini:
