Finance Manager

Job Objectives:

The Finance Manager oversees group-level financial reporting and governance, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and Bursa Malaysia regulations. The role plays a key part in delivering strategic financial insights, strengthening internal controls, and enhancing financial performance across the Group’s operations.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly financial closing process for the parent company and subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Review and approve payment proposals and cash flow planning; ensuring all payments are properly supported and executed in a timely manner.
• Manage cash flow and treasury activities, including effective fund management and optimisation of financial resources.
• Lead the preparation of monthly group consolidation and reporting submissions to holding company / HQ.
• Lead and actively participate in the end-to-end preparation and review of quarterly Bursa announcements, financial statements, and board papers.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support monthly management meetings and strategic decision-making.
• Provide guidance and advice to operating companies’ finance personnel on group policies and accounting standards, and escalate requests to headquarters for further technical support when necessary
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting presentation slide.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and regulatory authorities on audit, tax, and compliance matters.
• Oversee year-end audit, tax filings, and annual report preparation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Review and maintain group accounting policies and internal control frameworks.
• Actively liaise with analysts and support investor relations activities
• Support corporate exercises, including investments, disposals, and restructuring activities as required.
• Lead, guide, and review work performed by finance team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables and continuous improvement.
• Handle ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and projects as assigned by management.

Managerial (Team/Group Responsibilities):

• Provide financial guidance to subordinates.
• Lead and mentor Finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.

Organizational (Organizational Responsibilities):

• Report to the Chief Financial Officer.
• 5S – Adherence and participation in 5S activities.
