Conteng by Ainaa: A Passionate Visual Artist and Vocal Advocate

Ainaa Farhanah: Painting Life in Full Colour

In celebration of the new cohort of Hong Leong Foundation Merit Scholars, we proudly spotlight the inspiring journey of one of our outstanding alumni, Ainaa Farhanah.

Ainaa is a passionate visual artist and a vocal advocate for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Diagnosed with SMA Type 2 at just two years old, she has never let her condition define her limits. Instead, she’s transformed every challenge into a canvas for expression, connection, and empowerment.

Ainaa holds a degree in Graphic Design from Nottingham Trent University, UK. She earned her Diploma in Interactive Design from KBU International College under the Hong Leong Foundation Merit Scholarship and further honed her artistic skills through Fine Arts studies at Jane Yap Atelier.

She is the creative force behind Conteng by Ainaa, a vibrant art initiative she began during her final year of college. From painting murals at Jumpstart@65 to exhibiting her work at over 30 events, Ainaa has continuously used her art to spark joy, dialogue and inclusivity. Her pieces reflect not only her technical skill but also her deep belief in the power of creativity to build bridges and shift perspectives.

Today, through Conteng by Ainaa, she continues to blend art, entrepreneurship and advocacy, a true testament to her resilience, creativity and unwavering passion for self-expression.
