As part of the Hong Leong Foundation’s commitment to holistic scholar development, two virtual workshops were organised under the ROAR Merit and ROAR Skills initiatives, in collaboration with Hong Leong Group and Hong Leong Bank. The sessions equipped scholars from both Hong Leong Foundation and the Group Scholarship programme with practical skills and valuable insights beyond the classroom, enabling them to better prepare for real-world challenges.
🙋‍♂️Meet and Greet with Asia OneHealthcare Group
On 10 December 2025, 38 scholars participated in a virtual session with doctors from Columbia Asia Hospital, hosted by the Hong Leong Group. The session explored the journey from medical school to professional practice, offering practical tips and career insights. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, gain first-hand advice and learn from the experiences of medical professionals. The session was interactive and well received, providing valuable guidance for scholars’ future pathways.

👩🏻‍💼Financial Literacy and Scam Awareness Workshop
On 24 January 2026, 54 scholars participated in the virtual Financial Literacy and Scam Awareness Workshop hosted by Hong Leong Bank.
In the Financial Literacy session, participants learned budgeting, financial planning basics, and responsible spending through real-life scenarios relevant to students and young adults. The Scam Awareness session highlighted emerging financial scams, digital safety practices and preventive measures, giving scholars practical guidance to protect themselves in today’s digital financial landscape.
